On the opening day of the Farnborough Airshow 2024, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, introduced the highly anticipated ‘Qsuite Next Gen’. This next generation of the Qsuite elevates the standards of business class, showcasing innovative features and luxury. I was honoured to attend the ceremony.

During the reveal, Engr. Al-Meer highlighted the Qsuite Next Gen’s new and enhanced features, including fully customisable Quad Suites; Companion Suites in window aisles; 4K OLED manoeuvrable in-flight entertainment (IFE) screens; along with increased space and privacy in each suite.

- Introduction of Qsuite Next Gen: The new Qsuite Next Gen includes fully customisable Quad Suites, Companion Suites in window aisles, and 4K OLED manoeuvrable in-flight entertainment (IFE) screens. The suite focuses on privacy and enhanced customer comfort, especially for long-haul flights.
- Enhanced Passenger Experience: The new Qsuite Next Gen provides increased space for dining, larger lie-flat and double beds, and digitally controlled privacy dividers. It introduces a dedicated ‘Make My Bed’ feature for added comfort.
- Technological Advancements: The Qsuite Next Gen incorporates new technologies, including upgraded touchscreen Passenger Control Units for ambient lighting and privacy controls.
- Future Implementation: The Qsuite Next Gen will be available on the Qatar Airways Boeing 777-9 aircraft by 2025.
The Qsuite Next Gen was unveiled alongside Sama, the world’s first AI digital human cabin crew.
